About
Eric Miller didn’t set out to become an engineer. He set out to be a writer and got redirected by circumstance. Decades later, that same curiosity that once pulled him toward storytelling now defines how he moves through the world: asking better questions, listening longer than most people, and seeing patterns in people others miss. But underneath that curiosity is something quieter...a tension between connection and distance, shaped by a childhood of constant movement and impermanence. That tension shows up in how Eric builds relationships. He can go deep with someone in minutes, learning their story with genuine care. But letting people truly know him has always been different. Over time, that awareness becomes a turning point—not just personally, but professionally. After building and leading a 75-person engineering company, Eric realized something he hadn’t fully accounted for: people aren’t just part of the system. They are the system. At a broader level, Eric challenges how we think about intelligence, connection, and success. In a world where people rush to prove they’re smart, he points out that trust is built faster through curiosity than credibility alone. And in a culture that increasingly rewards self-interest, he makes a quieter argument: most of what’s broken in business—and in life—comes back to how little attention we pay to relationships.
